This position provides medical coverage as assigned by the head athletic trainer for all athletic teams with their practices, games and special events. Provides care to student-athletes through competent evaluations, physician referrals, treatment, rehabilitation and emergency care when necessary. Responsible for communication with coaches on practice times and schedules. This position requires flexibility to travel and work weekends and evenings when necessary. This is a full-time 10 month position.Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; NATA BOC, ability to gain state licensure, and a minimum of two (2) years' of work experience in a college or university setting required. Previous experience with manual therapy preferred. Must exhibit professionalism and diplomacy in working effectively with diverse constituencies. Must communicate effectively with all types of people, and establish and maintain a strong working relationship with students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and other college personnel. Must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. This position requires a valid driver's license, good driving record, and must be insurable by the College's insurance carrier.
