Job Description:

Reporting to the Classroom Audio-Visual and Events Coordinator, the incumbent will provide Audio-Visual support for College events, both large and small, in a variety of spaces. The incumbent will also provide Audio-Visual support in classrooms for evening classes and smaller events. This position will also be responsible for the evening upkeep of the AV office, ranging from preparation for day-staff activities and general organization and maintenance of equipment and spaces.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide Audio-Visual support for College events, including occasional weekend events
  • Work with the Classroom Audio-Visual and Events Coordinator and Conference Services and Events staff to understand the AV needs of events, implement those needs, and staff those events
  • Provide AV support for evening classes
  • Work with the Classroom Audio-Visual and Events Coordinator to perform general upkeep on the AV offices and maintenance / organization of AV equipment


High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. InfoComm CTS or demonstrated equivalent experience required, CTS-I preferred.

Experience in operations maintenance of audio-visual equipment and multimedia technologies. Familiarity with current A-V standards, evolving technologies, and applicable laws and codes. Ability to solder and repair cables and connectors required, experience with other equipment repairs preferred.

Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in a seated, kneeling or standing position, climb ladders and stairs, discern colors, adjust focus of optical systems, and adjust audio systems required. The position entails moderate levels of exposure to dust and hot/cold environmental conditions.

Work Schedule: 20 hours/week: Monday - Thursday (5 hours/day) occasional weekends as required.
