The Department of Otolaryngology has an opening for a full-time, University Staff (unclassified) Business Services Principal Professional position.

Jobs in this career family provide general business operations of the organization or a combination of operational responsibilities covering multiple career families. Principal Professionals are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. Work is performed at an advanced or expert level.
Principal Professionals are either work leads over others or are considered a subject matter expert in a particular area.
This position will manage and oversee all operational and administrative functions of the Department of Otolaryngology Chair's Office. This position will take the lead and act as a subject matter expert on complex projects within the Department, with minimal supervision and within CU and SOM policies. This position is responsible for coordinating all Faculty Affairs related functions at the highest level within the Department. Further, this position is responsible for coordination of staffing, training, schedules, and workload as it relates to all departmental Business Support Specialists and/or Administrative Assistants. This position has full work-lead responsibilities for all full-time Business Support Specialists and Administrative Assistants within Otolaryngology. This position will also manage and oversee all departmental communications (newsletter, social media, etc.). With oversight from the Director of Finance & Administration, this position will be responsible for the management, development and reconciliation of several budgets within the CU Medicine financial system, to include the Department Management Chair funds and Management Administration funds.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, science, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
