Job Description:

SUMMARY

Coordinates services and support to help students successfully navigate the transfer process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Works closely with special populations to improve the College's conversion rates by creating a clearly defined transfer process
  • Responsible for the systemic tracking of special populations of students transferring to a four-year institution and transfer-ready students transferring to and from the College
  • Works closely with upper classmen to increase the College's completion rates by creating a clearly defined transfer process and system to connect students to transfer resources
  • Assists students in the application process, connects students with four-year partner counterparts, and schedules and facilitates college tours
  • Assists with planning and supporting college wide retention and completion events such as GradFest, Success Week, Transfer Fairs, and others
  • May work to support the College's IPEDS outreach to increase completion and transfer rates
  • Assists in faculty and student communication regarding new services and opportunities for transfer students
  • Assists in the coordination of students using pre-transfer planning services and maintains relationships with four-year partner institutions
  • May represent the department at College-wide events to community constituents as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Master's degree in education or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated secondary or post-secondary instructional and/or student services experience
  • Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Possess working knowledge of student completion concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
  • Possess strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Works accurately with great attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships
  • Demonstrated basic project management skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
