Job Description
The Registrar Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Application Support Specialist to join our team.

This position provides support and development of data reporting and the interfaces of external systems in use by the Registrar's Office to Peoplesoft. Processes both internal and external requests for Student Record information. Provides front line IT support for Registrar staff and coordinates resolution of IT related issues. Supports processing of routine and adhoc mass data changes via program scripts for all systems used by the Registrar's Office. This position edits and creates webpages and documentation for the Registrar's Office.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Process numerous frequent internal and external adhoc statistical and data requests, some of which are typically urgent. Program reports for data using SQL, PS Query, Crystal Reports and other software tools.
* Provide support and training to departmental personnel on Registrar desktop programs and resources. Assist with security for Peoplesoft and other Registrar systems. Edit and assist with maintenance of website, security, design and content for Registrar web presence and all Registrar-owned sites.
* Develop and maintain forms (electronic, interactive and paper) and documentation used in business processes of the Registrar's Office.
* Provide training for Registrar team and users of Registrar-related processes throughout the institution.
* Provide assistance to directors and information systems manager as requested for project support.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in related field and two years of work experience in computing, information systems, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Proficient understanding of relational database, client-server concepts, and computer programming, and understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle.
* Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel).
* Certifications in supported technologies.
* Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization.
