Position Summary: The Department of African, African-American, and Diaspora Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time permanent Teaching Assistant Professor. The regular teaching load is six courses per academic year, three per semester. The successful candidate will be able to teach Swahili language and African linguistics courses; create lesson plans, lead classes, maintain a conducive learning environment for students, and create and grade assignments.

Education Requirements: PhD in related field.

Qualification and Experience: Experience teaching African languages and experience coordinating language programs and/or workshops.
