COORDINATOR, HOSPITALITY SERVICES
Duties: The Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing partner relationships with all clients and departments on campus. Provide a high level of customer service as an integral part of the Hospitality Services Team. The Coordinator is the Logistical/Operational lead, providing continuity and integrated service for all Programs, departments and students. Manages initial specifications for new events including data & event specifications, reservation and client communications of multiple department initiatives. Works closely with all conference and dining services team members to ensure all program leader/client information is straight forward, readily accessible and user friendly. Thus, as a member of this dynamic organization, you will be expected to work outside of your regular shift during peak activity periods May - August (e.g.: Summer Conferences, Summer Camp Season & Move-in) This position reports to Associate Director, Hospitality Services (HS) and works closely with General Manager (HS) and Conference and Programs Team as part of the HS team in achieving the department's financial goals and product and service excellence. Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required and minimum 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of some post-graduate study, in hospitality, business or related field preferred. Two to five years of experience in a related field preferred, preferably in a customer care role. Some conference sales & delivery/management experience preferred. The successful candidate will show the ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and will have a good eye for detail. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team are essential.
The Department of Residential and Hospitality Services provides essential 24/7 services for the University of Pennsylvania. Thus, as a member of this dynamic organization, you will be expected to work outside of your regular shift i.e. weekends during peak activity periods May - August (e.g.: Summer Conferences, Summer Camp Season & Move-in) or when normal campus operations are suspended (e.g.: inclement weather). To the extent possible, managers will provide timely notice of modified work schedules.
