Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree strongly preferred. Preferred degrees in student affairs, social work, counseling, or closely related field of study.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum 2 years of full time professional experience in higher education, student affairs, social work, counseling or a related field.
Preferred experience and qualifications:
-experience working on a college campus
-experience working with diverse student populations
-experience working with students in crisis
-experience working with a case management system
-understating of student development, mental health issues, trauma informed care
-ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
-collaborator who reaches out for productive partnerships on-campus and in the community
-student-centered attitude and behaviors
License or certificate:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean/Director of the Dean of Students Office and working in a team environment, the major responsibilities are case management and referral, serving on the Behavioral Intervention Team, providing student assistance support, and administrative leadership
