Overview

The Department of Psychology at Princeton University invites applications for a full-time Research Specialist position. This is a one-year position with possibility of renewal based on funding and work performance. The position involves conducting research on behavioral decision-making and on cognition in social contexts.

Responsibilities

As part of the lab, the research specialist will assist with different aspects of research, including literature reviews, recruitment of participants and the collection of behavioral data (both on and off campus), data coding, entry and analysis, preparation of manuscripts for publication and administrative lab duties. Qualifications

At least one year of research experience in a psychology laboratory that involved behavioral data collection, data entry and analysis constitute key assets. Familiarity with the SPSS software package for statistical analysis is desired. Strong computer skills, including programming, are preferred. Position requires minimum BA or BS degree in Psychology or related field. Orientation to detail, conscientiousness, and genuine interest to pursue psychological research are qualities that are critical to perform well in this position.
