Advertised Job Summary
With limited supervision from the Director of Facilities in University Housing, the interior designer assesses and develops housing system-wide space plans, arrangements and upfit. Develops and manages interior design projects including furniture layout and selection and finish color and material selections.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Bachelor's degree in related field and 3 years experience, or high school diploma and 7 years drafting experience; or equivalency.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and 3 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office computer programs is required. Knowledge of Americans With Disabilities Act. Minimum of 3 years experience in interior design field to include space planning, furniture specifications and finish selections.
