Job Duties: This position manages the activities of three other recycling workers; schedules the work; communicates/interacts with staff, faculty, students, general public, etc. regarding campus recycling; manages the use of recycling vehicles/equipment; sets up special collections; etc. In addition, this employee frequently operates the recycling truck which requires a Commercial Driver's License and uses the hook-lift truck, fork-lift, loaders, etc. Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: collecting, sorting, warehousing, and delivering materials offered for recycling by university operational units to designated recycling facilities. Other duties and occasional overtime work may be required by supervisor or dictated by work load. Medium to heavy physical work in all indoor and outdoor conditions will be required.
