Director of Advancement Services
Effectively communicate LCCW’s mission and program needs to all constituencies.
Responsible in developing the annual plan that achieves the fundraising goals of LCCW and the department goals and objectives.
Responsible for development reporting and administrative record keeping achieving fundraising goals.
Manage master grant calendar and prepare program budgets, monthly funder reports, and collateral materials.
Develop and manage semi-annual direct mail appeals and internet marketing program.
Identify, cultivate, and successfully solicit corporate, foundation, and individual funding sources based on donor cultivation best practices.
Plan and execute creative strategies to identify sources of major gifts utilizing creative research techniques and electronic searching methodologies to ensure campaign initiatives have sufficient prospects to meet goals.
Support planning and implementing fundraising events and activities such as the WAVE, annual golf classic, Cal Jams and other events.
Work with the VPIA to publish Annual Report and manages gift acknowledgment communications.
Work with the Director of Alumni Relations to establish and execute planned giving program throughout the country, as well as identifying international major gift prospects.
Actively participate in programs and communication strategies designed to cultivate alumni loyalty through life long engagement.
Responsible for reviewing proposals, tasks, and maturation dates to ensure Life West Chiropractic College is appropriately forecasting revenue stream for the campaign.
Communications - Oversee and monitor all internet and external communications to conform look, style and message are consistent
Marketing / Public Relations - Provide leadership for developing Life West's fundraising marketing and public relations efforts.
The College constituency and surrounding community grow in understanding of the school's mission and how it is being accomplished.
Responsible for relationships within the college constituency are continually strengthened
Develop relationships with key donors and develop strategies that will bring donations to the LCCW.
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field.
Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in the field of development preferred.
Prior knowledge and experience in higher education preferred.
Possess a strong track record in fundraising.
Ability to demonstrate experience leading innovative and successful development activities to support organizational goals.
Ability to work with diverse groups of College constituents to achieve fundraising goals.
Ability to coordinate a number of varied programs and projects simultaneously.
Ability to solicit and close major gifts.
Excellent manager of people and programs.
Ability to build and sustain relationships with donors.
Understand database environment including sharp analytical skills with data of all types.
Ability to be flexible and a strategic thinker.
Knowledge of accounting and fiscal management as well as competence in analyzing data and producing specialized reports.
High degree of integrity; highly ethical.
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
