This full time faculty position begins in August 2018 with a 30 credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually.

The successful candidate will teach a wide variety of undergraduate courses in Business.  Lower-division courses may include Introduction to Business, Business Communication, Legal Environment of Business, and upper-division courses may span Finance, Management, and/or Marketing. Course delivery may include hybrid and technology-based modalities available to students throughout the College.

CMC is a multi-campus organization. This position will be based at the CMC residential campus Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs or the community campus in Glenwood Springs, and will have teaching responsibilities at both locations. CMC is a multi-campus organization; teaching may also include other campus locations at times. 

Responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teaching course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and participate in advising, orientation and registration activities.

CMC Faculty are generally expected to engage in scholarly endeavors as well as service activities such as campus and college committees, participation in relevant projects, mentor peers, participate in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally diverse environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, vendors and community members having diverse backgrounds.

Conversational Spanish language abilities may be helpful.

Salary range: $57,492 – $74,144 depending upon education and experience/teaching experience in higher education. 

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must be credentialed to teach in this program or eligible to be credentialed. Examples of ideal qualifications include:

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in business, finance, management, marketing or related fields. Minimum of one year full-time teaching experience, or the equivalent as an adjunct instructor. Higher education teaching experience preferred.
