Job Description:

The Holy Cross Dining team is here to enhance the College experience with exceptional services, festive special events and superior food quality. This position reports directly to the Chef in the Kimball Main student dining location. Perform various duties in preparation to provide meals for students and guests following established practices and methods. Must follow all recipes, production and service records in compliance with department, sanitation and safety standards. Responsibilities include serving guests and assisting in food production, stocking and rotating product, setting up and cleaning food production and service areas following proper sanitation standards. Responsibilities also include the use of a slicing machine, grill, fryolator, pizza oven, stir fry equipment and/or similar types of equipment. Assist in the set-up, execution and clean-up of catered events as needed. Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested.


Previous experience in food service preferred. Certification in ServSafe (food safety/sanitation) and experience/training in special food allergy meal preparation preferred. Good customer service and communication skills are needed to provide a welcoming, friendly and professional manner to all our guests. Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and 100 pounds with assistance.

*Standard Schedule: Friday - Tuesday 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM 40 hours / 48 weeks

Due to the needs of the Dining department and the academic calendar, schedules may change. Must be flexible.
