Admissions Counselor

Job description

The Office of Enrollment Services at Midway University seeks applications for an Admissions Counselor. This is a full time position. This position will require evening and weekend hours, as well extensive travel during recruiting cycles.  The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for identifying and recruiting qualified students for admission to the University.

Candidates must be able to work independently, work well with other departments and groups across campus, and at high schools and community colleges.  Counselor is responsible for targeted recruitment goals in the assigned territory.  Duties include representing the University at various on and off-campus recruitment events, managing a recruitment territory, interviewing prospective students, processing applications for admission, and data entry related to these functions.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. 1-3 years of related work experience in an admissions or sales environment is highly desirable. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Excellent oral and written communication skills; Strong record of achievement and adaptability to change; valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
