Lecturer in the Writers' Centre
Yale-NUS College, a collaboration between the National University of Singapore and Yale University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer on an appointment of up to three years initially, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate is expected to teach 5 courses per academic year, two of these courses will be offered as part of the main academic curriculum and the other three courses within the Writers’ Centre. In addition, the appointee will serve as a professional tutor in the Centre, provide mentorship for student peer tutors and support college-wide academic initiatives. The appointee will be expected to begin their duties in time for the start of the 2018-2019 academic year.
Candidates should have a relevant PhD and experience in writing programmes, as well as be able to demonstrate a commitment to teaching academic writing in the disciplines. Preference will be given to experience in tutoring academic writing in the Sciences, and in teaching and tutoring multilingual students.
