Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at North Carolina State University teaches courses in 15 different languages and offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in French, German Studies and Spanish, plus Minors in 11 different languages. We offer content-based courses in Tourism, Business, Medicine and associated certificates. We also offer Master of Arts degrees in French and Spanish.
Essential Job Duties: Mentor soldiers at Ft. Bragg in cultural training and role playing scenarios. Facilitate sessions on regional expertise of target country. Facilitate sessions on survival language within the target country for highly critical languages.
Minimum Education/Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in related field or documented, equivalent education and specialized experience in specified language. Native or near-native fluency in the target language. Expertise in the culture associated with the target language in question.
