Requisition Title: Assistant / Associate Professor - Academic Gastroenterologist - 1801123

The Division of Gastroenterology, University Health Network (UHN) and Sinai Health System (SHS) and the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto are seeking an academic gastroenterologist to be a dynamic Clinician Teacher or Clinician Educator based at the Mount Sinai Hospital. The successful candidate should be eligible for a Full-time Clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Expected start date will be September 1, 2018 or shortly thereafter.

The successful candidate must hold an MD degree and should have completed advanced inflammatory bowel disease specialist training. He/She will have, or be eligible for, certification in Gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and will have, or be eligible for, licensure in Ontario. He/She should have a track record of clinical excellence with advanced training in education or a sustained record of achievement in education or creative professional activity in the field of inflammatory bowel disease.

The successful applicant will lead the development of cutting edge academic programs and clinical initiatives as part of the Mount Sinai Hospital Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Centre.

Estimated remuneration will be in the range of $250,000 to $350,000, depending on fees for clinical service, and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
