Job description
Reporting to the library manager, the librarian provides library instruction and reference services and participates in collection development activities. The librarian will also work collaboratively with other library staff to provide daily services to students, faculty, and staff under the directives of the library mission.
Provide reference service for students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members.
Teach library instruction sessions as assigned.
Participate in collection development responsibilities.
Provide basic technology assistance to library users and work collaboratively with other librarians and library staff in the use of library hardware and software applications, including contributing content to the library website.
Assist with library closing procedures during evening shift.
Perform other duties and complete projects as assigned by the library manager.
Support the campus libraries.

Position Qualifications:
Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited institution required.
Two years of library experience required.
Demonstrated ability in using a variety of formats to provide reference services to a diverse population of learners. Academic library reference experience preferred.
Library instruction experience desirable.
Customer service training and experience desirable.
Understanding of and commitment to the service role of the library in a learner-centered environment.
