Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technology-related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Two years of commensurate professional experience is required. Experience in IT-related project management work on diverse, cross-functional teams strongly preferred. Knowledge of technology systems and services at divisional and enterprise levels in a higher education environment a plus.

Well qualified candidates will posess:
-Strong organizational, collaboration, and coordination skills.
-Strong written and oral communicator with ability to tailor message to specific audiences and at the optimal frequency.
-Experience presenting to groups on the status and risks of projects.
-Experience working with self-managed teams, product owners, and stakeholders to establish project scope and maintain request backlog.
-Experience with influencing and negotiating project change requirements based on scope, prioritization, ranking, and risk analyses.
-Experience working with traditional project management tools such as WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), GANTT diagrams, and resource schedules.
-Experience with software development and implementation frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, and SDLC.
-Experience in Information Technology, including system architecture, information security, and enterprise-level systems integrations.
-Experience with product quality control, testing, and assurance methods.
-Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
-Experience monitoring project budgets and participating in annual project budget forecasting.
-Experience documenting project activities and business requirements .
-Experience working with CRM platforms.
-Experience with email and marketing automation solutions.
-Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
-Experience developing websites and web-based applications.
-Experience with database management and concepts of data warehouses
-Experience with marketing and communications lines of business
-Experience Enterprise System reports, integrations and dashboards

Position Summary:

This role is anchored in the Wisconsin School of Business' Information Technology Solutions team. The role's primary responsibilities include planning, scoping, implementing, and monitoring project activities, leading requirements gathering sessions, identifying and defining deliverables, establishing timelines, leading business process improvements, managing project portfolio risks, maintaining ranked priorities, documenting project activities, managing project budgets, facilitating project teams, communicating project activities, and managing relationships with faculty, staff, instructional groups, students, and school leadership.

The Wisconsin School of Business continues to innovate in its delivery of learning and development of students, faculty, and research. The IT project manager role will be responsible for developing and stewarding large and small scale technology-oriented projects in an Agile environment. This position will provide project management services to a diverse group of product owners and partners that collaborate in cross-functional teams.
