Position Information: Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Budget and Finance, the incumbent is responsible for a full range of fiscal, analytical and administrative management functions of the Auxiliary Services Cash Office. The incumbent manages and directs the Cash Office operation which consists of several complex systems including Cash, Collection, and Register Reconciliation System (CCRRS), UCR Financial System (UCRFS), POS reporting systems, and online credit card processor systems. This position supervises the collection, reporting and reconciliation of annual collections of $30M which include tender types of cash, credit cards, student meal plans, employee meal plans, Dining Dollars, Bear Bucks, gift cards, EBT, department recharges, and other UCR specific tenders. In the course of daily business, this position currently supervises five administrative support staff and provides professional consultation, guidance, analysis, interpretation and recommendations for compliance with federal, state, University of California (UC), and UCR Fiscal policies and procedures. The position is part of UCR's Auxiliary Services Division, which is one of the campus' largest units, providing housing to about 30% of our students, dining for the entire campus in residential and retail facilities, conferencing and catering services. Auxiliary Services employs over 250 career employees and over 800 student employees.
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
Ability to manage changing priorities, and manage staff time and efforts accordingly.
Strong interpersonal skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, ability to multi-task effectively in a high volume environment, organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic working knowledge of financial transactions and financial systems.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Proficiency in use of spreadsheet and database software.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to develop and maintain knowledge of job related principles, theories, and practices necessary to carry out Cash Office unit functions.
Skill in providing excellent client service in a multi-function environment. Ability to deliver high quality, professional, innovative, and responsive service; build collaborative relationships with diverse client groups; actively listen to and resolve client service issues; remain proactive and positive.

Knowledge of campus and/or University policies and procedures. Knowledge of UC systems including CCRRS, UCRFS, UCRFtotals.
