Position Summary:

The Charge Nurse Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care in OSS/GHEI. Ensures continuity and congruity of services through coordination of the overall surgery schedule, supervision and direction of staff, facilitation of responses to physician orders and the acquisition of equipment & services. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, and patients. Additionally, incumbent reviews data and devises effective control mechanisms to ensure the environment fosters safe patient care.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $38.31 Midpoint $53.71 Maximum $69.11

Required Qualifications:

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Basic Life Support

Complete understanding of acuity levels for the patient population

Minimum 3 years experience as a nurse

Must have 3 recent leadership roles which may include leading a project, implementing a change project, skills lab, practice council chair, charge nurse, etc.

Registered Nurse

Strong customer service orientation as well as written and oral communication skills

Understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Certified Nurse Operating Room
