The Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems, School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Ft. Worth is one of the fastest-growing academic health science centers in Texas. The University enrolls 2,700 graduate students in the fields of public health, medicine, biomedical science, pharmacy, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies. The University is well-positioned for rapid expansion, matching the growing population and economic vitality of the DFW Metroplex. At this time, the University of North Texas Health Science Center and Texas Christian University (TCU) are launching a new allopathic (MD) medical school. This effort will establish the UNTHSC as one of the few campuses in the U.S. to support both an allopathic and an osteopathic college of medicine. Position Details
The Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems is seeking an outstanding faculty colleague at the tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank in the field of health services (outcomes) research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses and maintain an independent program of research at the UNTHSC. Although all research areas related to health services and outcomes are welcome, candidates with an expertise in patient safety, disease control, health disparities and underserved populations, substance abuse prevention, and online/m-health interventions are especially encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* PhD or equivalent in health economics, health services research, or closely related field.
* Recognition or promise of outstanding contributions as a scholar.
* Successful record or promise of sponsored research and ability to foster a collaborative program of research.
* Enthusiasm for teaching.
* Commitment to inter-professional education and interdisciplinary research.
