Responsibilities:

The Staff Assistant II will work as part of the Enrollment Management Contact Center (EMCC) team providing front line excellent customer service, via phone for the University Main Line, serving students, parents and other Northeastern University constituents. This position is responsible for a basic understanding of the major university offices and directing calls appropriately. This role supports EMCC Directors and others in a fast paced environment and requires strong knowledge of Department and University policies and procedures.

Administrative duties include but are not limited to attending meetings to compile notes and distribute to attendees, proof read and upload articles to Knowledge base design and produce reports and presentations utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; assist in monthly budget reconciliation and record keeping; schedule and coordinate meetings, travel, and conferences.

This position will be responsible for, ensuring cleanliness of conference rooms, scheduling spaces within the Dedham campus, ordering and inventory of all office supplies and submitting facility work orders.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be professional, mature and have a minimum of 2 years’ customer service experience, preferably in a fast paced environment. Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette, a positive outgoing personality, the ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment, and a self-starter attitude. Experience in working with various databases and office applications such as the Microsoft Office suite; a demonstrated sensitivity to the understanding of the needs and concerns of a diverse population. Individuals must be willing to work in a metrics environment. Attention to detail and follow through skills are essential as well as flexibility, a positive attitude and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while handling multiple priorities are requirements of this job. Must be able to manage deadlines, to work independently and to function as a solid team member. This position requires an individual with proven experience in handling confidential matters. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. This position is based in Dedham.
