Position:
The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for two full-time, non-tenure track, Lecturer position in the Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences beginning August 2018. One permanent and one temporary (one-year), for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Geology or closely-related discipline.

Responsibilities:

Teach four 3 credit courses per semester. Teach GEOL 121 Physical Geology, both lecture and laboratory components as well as other upper and lower level geology courses. High priority courses include GEOL 123 Historical Geology (lecturer + lab), GEOL 305 Environmental Geology (lecture + lab), GEOL 321 Structural Geology (lecture + lab), GEOL 357 Physical Oceanography (lecture only), and GEOL 415 Hydrogeology (lecture + lab). In addition to their teaching responsibilities, lecturers are required to contribute 20% of their time toward service or research duties, commensurate with the department’s goals.
