The Director is responsible, working with the Chair of the Business Department, for oversight of the Masters of Business Administration program including the recently begun ACBSP accreditation process. This includes a sequence of courses leading to a thesis, which is required of all graduate programs by the Afghanistan Ministry of Higher Education. The Director monitors the academic integrity and quality of students who are expected to demonstrate high standards of performance and ethical conduct. The Director works with the Chair to develop strategy for the Business Program particularly as it relates to the Masters of Business Administration program. In addition, the Director is responsible for achieving the Masters of Business Administration program outcomes and that courses are engaging and contribute to the practical development of students’ skills in written and oral communications, inquiry and analysis, critical and creative thinking, problem solving, and quantitative literacy, teamwork, and leadership. The Director works with the Business Chair in relations between the University and the private sector, government, and non-governmental organizations.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the MBA Director will be teaching nine credit hours per semester.
