Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Assistant Principal collaborates with the Rhodos Faculty Principal to organize educational programs, develop co-curricular initiatives, coordinate leadership and outreach programs, and promote a rich interdisciplinary community in areas of information, design, and computing.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree in Student Personnel Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree. Direct experience relating to information, design and computing fields. Experience working with college students in and outside the classroom. Proficiency in aspects of Adobe Creative Cloud software.


Commitment to excellence and professionalism. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be highly organized with attention to detail. Ability to independently plan and organize complex activities to prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals in a dynamic environment. Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, electronic messaging and calendaring. Ability to learn new processes and skills as needed. Ability to critically evaluate own work as well as that of subordinates. Ability to work on a flexible basis when activities fall outside of normal working times, including nights and weekends.
