Duties: Knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment used installation and repair various types of roofs and sheet metal work. Extensive service experience in roofing repair and replacement and basic sheet metal work on ductwork, grills, vents and fire dampers. Knowledge of Philadelphia Building codes pertaining to roofing. Experience in installation and repair or the ability to understand rubber, asphalt, heat welded, slate, or copper roofing systems. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and PPE requirements in performing roofing work. Ability to troubleshoot roof problems such as causes for roof leaks, and to trouble shoot problems with AHU ventilation problems.
Qualifications: Must have 5 years to 7 years of experience with Roofing building systems. In addition must have successfully completed one of the following:
An approved accredited apprenticeship ( 3-4 year program) in roofing.
Roofing trade-specific vocational school ( 2 year program).
Roofing trade specific military school(s) and experience.
Must have experience working in a multi-trades environment; AND must be willing to conduct work outside of his/her primary trade, as operational needs dictate.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Valid Driver License preferred.
