Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Radiation Medicine

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of faculty in the Department of Radiation Medicine. The Department benefits from a large clinical volume, a well-respected residency program, committed faculty members, and its integral association with a vibrant and robust healthcare enterprise. UK HealthCare has embarked on an aggressive building program that will bring state-of-the-art facilities and technology to our campus as we move toward our goal of becoming a top 20 medical center.

Radiation Medicine will break ground on an expanded, state of the art facility in January 2018 . Currently, the Department provides the entire range of radiation oncology services, including IMRT, Gamma Knife and body radiosurgery, high and low dose-rate brachytherapy, TBI and total skin electron irradiation, etc. The Department also provides radiation oncology services at a satellite location.

Successful candidates will be essential to enhancing basic and clinical research within the department. This tenure-track position will maintain and expand the current research activities of the department, dividing time between patient treatment and research activities. Minimum qualifications for the position include a M.D. and ABR eligibility or board certification in radiation oncology.

This position offers an excellent and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Rank will be determined based on qualifications for the position.

Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Kentucky


Demonstrate superior work ethic, and availability on short notice are needed for this position.

Experience and competence in programming using modern workstations

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

Preferred Education/Experience

Experience with quality assurance and treatment planning preferred.
