Associate Dean of Global Affairs

St. Norbert College welcomes applications and nominations for the position of Associate Dean for Global Affairs to begin in Summer, 2018. The Associate Dean serves as the administrative leader of the Center for Global Education (CGE) and advocates for the CGE in the context of the institution’s Norbertine, Catholic and liberal arts traditions. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean of the College/Academic Vice President and serves as a member of the Dean’s Council.

The responsibilities for this position include oversight, coordination, development and promotion of the global education initiatives at the College (study abroad and Global Seminars, international student recruitment, retention and advising, English language programs, exchange programs, and other programs that advance global education); working closely with faculty and staff, the community and additional stakeholders on projects intended to enhance global education at the College; and involving constituencies from within and without the College in planning, developing, implementing, sustaining and assessing global education endeavors. The Associate Dean may have the opportunity to develop and teach courses in their area of expertise.

Earned terminal degree in an appropriate international/global studies area. Demonstrated successful administrative leadership including managing people, budgets and programs in the area of global education. Experience with supervision, evaluation and staff development.  Excellent communication skills embedded with integrity, collegiality, and teamwork. Significant international travel/work experience and teaching experience as a faculty member are highly valued.
