Admissions Analyst

Provides analytical, functional and technical support to the Graduate Admissions office with a particular emphasis on data integrity, best practices, process streamlining, training, and documentation for the Slate and Banner admissions systems. This position also participates in the analysis and ongoing maintenance of data integration functions. Provides mid-level database process and operations oversight, including data interpretation, process development and refinements, and system and policy training. Works closely with the Principal Admissions Analyst and Admissions Manager in developing problem-solving methodologies and communications strategies and evaluation criteria. Provides comprehensive analytical and administrative support to analyze, track and report policy and process issues and trends for the Graduate Division Admissions office. Responsible for compiling performance and operational issues data from the Slate and Banner campus systems, and other available sources. Respond to routine and ad hoc inquiries from the Graduate Dean, Assistant Dean, and the Director of Academic Affairs.

Participates in the design and maintenance of the Graduate Division Admissions webpages, configuration of and problem-solving for the Slate system databases, and systems.

Assists with the implementation of the Slate online application and application review system and the Banner admissions process. Identifies and tracks training needs for academic department staff and faculty; assists in developing training materials and providing ongoing training. Maintains and tracks system issues and triages system solutions and support.

Reviews application decisions and processes student admissions. Responsible for appropriate record-keeping and incorporation of admissions documents into the Slate and Banner BDM systems. Participates in the analysis and implementation of local and system-wide policies and procedures related to graduate admissions. Serves as the primary backup to the Admissions Manager on international credential and degree certification analysis and verification.

Salary: Hourly $23.58 - 32.06
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Contract Position. This is expected to be a one year contract with the possibility of renewal.
