(Non-Unit) Director of Admissions

Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment Management and College Access Programs, the Director of Admissions is a strong student advocate who will inspire, motivate, develop, and mentor a high performance and customer service oriented team of admission counselors and support staff. The Director provides leadership in developing, implementing, and assessing innovative recruitment strategies and initiatives designed to attract new market segments and expand the student base.
Responsibilities: Include (but are not limited to) development of recruitment goals and metrics; oversight of student recruitment including campus visits, college fairs, community events and international student admission; building and strengthening partnerships/alliances with academic divisions, continuing education units, high schools and the college community; identifying and implementing efficient, effective, and innovative approaches to application processing, data management and reporting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree with minimum of six years of progressive college admissions management experience, including supervision of staff; Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to value diversity in all its forms; Self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills, the ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member, and with enthusiasm to learn and flexibility to change; Must have demonstrated use of a higher education CRM system(s), student information system(s), social media platforms, and related technologies, as well as experience working with international student visas and the SEVIS system; Attention to detail and a commitment to delivery of quality customer service; Must possess a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree; Ability to verbally communicate in both Spanish and English.
SALARY RANGE: $70,000-$77,000/year, plus a comprehensive State benefits package
HOURS: 37.5 hrs./week; Some evening and weekend work may be required.
