The Department of Spanish and Portuguese seeks to appoint Lecturers in Spanish, beginning September 1, 2018, with the possibility of renewal pending departmental need and satisfactory performance. Appointment duty time will depend upon course enrollments. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, and proven experience in teaching Spanish, are essential. Master's degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. program required; Ph.D. or M.A. working toward Ph.D. preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Linguistics, SLA, or Applied Linguistics, although other fields will also be considered. Administrative experience with a Spanish language program and proficiency in the use of technologies for the language classroom a plus.
