Job Description:

Contribute to the Advancement Services Technical Team by providing database support to Advancement staff.
Database support includes (but is not limited to):

  • Report writing and generation, data imports, exports and maintaining data integrity.
  • Participate in the requirements gathering, design, research, development, quality assurance and implementation of IT projects.
  • Research, propose, develop, customize, implement, test and maintain processes and systems.
  • Perform Quality Analysis for Advancement Services projects.
  • Provide training and support to end users.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as training/policy materials.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize data trends.
  • Monitor progress for the software system additions, changes and upgrade.
  • Aide in the evaluation and recommends changes to software system requirements.
  • Assists group/implementation team during specific phases of the transition.
  • Develop subject matter knowledge to solve complex technical issues, discover software failures, identify solutions and recommend product or process enhancements.
  • Communicates, interacts with and supports effective partnerships with all colleagues.
  • Assignments involve work of a confidential nature, requiring considerable discretion and judgment.
  • This position does not supervise direct reports.


Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or related discipline. Substantial IT knowledge and experience in relevant areas. Strong technical programming (including SQL, PL/SQL) and experience with ETL processes and reporting tools. Required to formalize technical solutions to solve business problems.

This is a two-year limited term appointment.
