The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting full-time faculty appointment for the 2018-2019 academic year to begin in August 2018.  The successful candidate will teach four sections of the introductory course, The Anthropological Perspective, and two intermediate courses in their area of specialty. Preference will be given to candidates whose interests support those of the College’s interdisciplinary programs, including Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies; Peace and Conflict Studies; International Studies; Environmental Studies; Asian Studies; Africana Studies; Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies. Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses each semester and are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College’s published policies. All full-time appointments offer competitive salaries and include full benefits.


Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
