The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting part-time faculty position to teach two courses each term in Sociology during the 2018-2019 academic year, to begin in August 2018. The successful candidate will teach sections of the introductory course, The Sociological Perspective, both semesters and an intermediate course in their area of specialty in the spring. Preference will be given to candidates whose interests support those of the College’s interdisciplinary programs, including Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies; Peace and Conflict Studies; International Studies; Environmental Studies; Asian Studies; Africana Studies; Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies; and Architectural Studies. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
