Job Duties: The successful candidate will be skilled at complex program information to targeted audiences in a compelling way for both internal and external communication. Work includes developing and advising clients on communication strategies, initiating, developing, and maintaining working relationships with key internal and external individuals and organizations. Plan and lead strategic concept sessions for individual projects and campaigns. Develop non-routine techniques/methods to accomplish objectives and implement these communications strategies. Independently manage project timelines and resources, and lead implementation efforts in all communications areas. Manage complex projects and serve as a key resource to others on a wide variety of communication. Establish standards for communication to accomplish objectives through creative and innovative use of equipment, techniques and communication methods intended to reach a wide audience. Extensive knowledge of the methods and techniques of planning, writing and editing and production of content. Review and edit the mission, objectives and goals for communications within the university with multiple service delivery functions. Understand internal workings of the university in relation to the external global expectations of policy makers and the legislature. Intervene and re-direct communications efforts that are ineffective.
