Occupational Summary

Provide coordination, organization, and administrative support for the Duke Trial and Recruitment Innovation Center (D-TRIC) which includes the Clinical Data Research Networks (CDRN) Program. Collaborate with other Duke offices such as Duke Office of Clinical Research (DOCR), ACE, study teams and the internal and external clinical research community, in the scheduling, provision and tracking of strategic trial and recruitment planning activities and consults.

Work Performed
  • Manage and track incoming requests for services and consults. Coordinate and participate in consultations with study teams, contributing when appropriate, taking minutes and summarizing meeting outcomes as well as strategies discussed and agreed to. May require outreach and engagement of media groups, digital and print material development, as well as the management and conduct of social media campaigns.
  • Assist in the planning, developing, monitoring, and maintaining of an ongoing research awareness campaign directed at staff/employees, patients, and the community. Manage On Core study information page (SIP) posting process for the RIC.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and attending outreach activities collaboratively with other groups and departments both internal and external to Duke, including patient and community advocacy organizations. Activities may include community events focused on specific studies or therapeutic areas or general research education and awareness events/campaigns held either on campus, across the healthcare system or in the community.
  • Work with the Director of the Duke RIC to track and test new methods and strategies to improve research participant engagement, enrollment and retention and stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies used for participant engagement, enrollment, and retention.
  • Track RIC metrics and consultation outcomes. Under supervision, respond to concierge navigation service emails and phone calls.
  • Assist in maintaining a tracking system for matching trained investigators with research projects which may originate either internally at Duke, externally in the community, through research networks, or through other organizations.
  • Clinical research recruitment and coordination.
    Use and development of REDCap for data management and tracking.

    Some marketing and/or communications.

    Knowledge of social media platforms.
