Clinical Assistant Professor in the Connell School of Nursing
Position Description Summary:
The Connell School of Nursing (CSON) is seeking applicants for a non-tenure-accruing clinical faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. This is a renewable long-term contract position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
This position will be required to teach, mentor, and advise masters, DNP, and undergraduate students. CSON places high value on enthusiastic and innovative teaching, applied and practical research, and scholarly and collaborative engagements.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to mentor and advise master degree students, participate in program meetings, serve on college and program committees. While not required, engagement in a research agenda is encouraged.
The qualifications required for this position:
- Clinician and/or administrator prepared at the doctoral level with a terminal degree (e.g. DNP, MD, PhD, etc.);
- Demonstrated experience in Adult Gerontological nursing
- Current certification as an AGNP
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience including full course design and instruction but can be part-time;
- Experience in both in-class and online instruction a plus.
