The University of Colorado, Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus Human Resources office is seeking applications for a Workforce Analytics Consultant.
This full-time, University Staff position serves on the Human Resources Team in the campus HR office and will be physically located at the Denver Campus but supports both campuses. Nature of Work
This position is responsible for providing HR analytics consulting and support to central HR leadership, and to school/college HR leaders. The position will focus on integrating data from a variety of systems (PeopleSoft HCM, Access files, Excel files, school and unit performance management systems, etc.) to create workforce insights at campus and school levels. These insights will inform planning, policy decisions, and operational improvements.
To be successful in this role, the incumbent hired for this position will be able to rapidly develop a deep understanding of the structures and data available in the central HCM, CIW and Time Reporting systems, as well as to discern (by building relationships) what data is available in other school/college systems relevant to talent management and people.
Examples of Work Performed
• Responsible for supporting a wide range of HR initiatives and reporting and analysis projects.
• Aggregates data from a variety of systems and files where standardized practices or procedures may or may not exist.
• Conduct regression analysis.
• Extracts HCM/CIW data from Human resources information system and utilizes Tableau, OnBase, SQL, SAS or SPSS and other tools to perform complex analyses pertaining to the state of the workforce.
• Uses analytic tools and institutional applications to build predictive models; uses data to drive insights into workforce practices such as talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.
• Presents data that includes quantitative and qualitative information about the organization and the workforce and assists HR leadership in interpreting and using the data to influence changes to operations, processes or programs.
• Creates dashboards, regular and ad hoc reports, and presentations that provide meaningful analysis of, and insights into, key workforce issues.
• Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries, charts, slides and other visual aids to describe findings, propose solutions and predict trends.
• Provides support as continual enhancements and changes are made to the University's Human Capital Management systems, and as campuses implement new systems for key HR activities.
• Partners with others on campuses involved in HR reporting to share knowledge and best practices.
• Participates in new and established cross-functional data initiatives to support process improvements, programs and policy reviews.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is commensurate with skills and experience.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
5 years of relevant experience designing and developing HR reports and dashboards in a complex environment with multiple employee types, pay types, time reporting platforms, and varying quality of human capital data.
Experience with HR systems and processes, best practices and HR metrics/analytics related to training and workforce demographics and trends, talent management, talent acquisition, and performance management.
At least one year of experience working with SQL Server Management Studio.
Master's degree in a relevant subject area, such as Human Resources, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics or Statistics.
Relevant experience in HR Information Systems administration or management
Relevant experience with PeopleSoft (or similarly complex HRIS system).
Relevant experience utilizing Tableau, OnBase, SAS or SPSS software, or other data visualization tools.
Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
