Professional Research Assistant
The department of Dermatology is seeking a full-time Professional Research Assistant and the position is available immediately. The research aims to study diseases involved in pigment cells, including melanoma and pigmentation disorders. The laboratory has established cell culture, mice, and patient-specific iPSC models for these studies. The candidate will be part of a team using these models to conduct investigation to understand the pathological mechanisms and to identify therapies for these diseases.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in cell biology, developmental biology, molecular biology, or a closely related field from an accredited university. A minimum of two years of experience in cell and molecular biology is required. Experience with confocal microscopes or handling mice is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree or equivalent
Previous PRA experience in a University setting
