Department Overview
The University of North Texas (UNT) Student Health and Wellness center is a full service medical center offering general wellness and specialty medical care to all UNT students. The Student Health and Wellness Center is staffed with licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, certified lab technologists, psychiatrists, registered nurses, registered dietitians, radiology technicians, and massage therapists.

Job Description
The Student Health & Wellness Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Medical Coding & Billing Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Supervising all daily functions and operations of the Billing Department.
* Resolving all patient complaints and conflicts.
* Acting as a Patient Services Representative to record and bill charges for medical services to patient and university-endorsed student insurance carriers.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

Associate's Degree and three years of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, & CPT coding experience.
* Cash handling experience.
* Supervision of multiple employees.
* Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Previous college healthcare experience.
* Previous Billing office experience.
* Previous Student Health and Wellness experience.
* Previous coding experience.
