RECEPTIONIST/EVENT COORDINATOR

Job description

Duties: Under the direction of the Business Administrator of VPUL Facilities, the receptionist will provide reception, administrative, and event planning services, requiring considerable judgment and initiative for the Perelman Quadrangle and VPUL Performing Arts Facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering telephones, meeting and greeting visitors, and assisting clients with details in reference to their planned events. Applies office customer service standards in the performance of all job duties.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. College degree preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to handle stressful conditions and work with a diverse student and administrative customer base. Strong written, oral communication, grammatical and spelling skills. One or two years office experience with good organizational skills. The ability to work independently and follow through to completion with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of computer programs. Required to wear appropriate clothing as provided.
