Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Training and Development Director I position works as part of a team to deliver training to client partners and serves as subject matter expert on said training topics. This position is integral in the process of quality improvement in the continuum of Training, Development, Evaluation, and Quality Assurance. This is a multiple incumbent position and is focused on delivery of course material using face-to-face, web-based, and or video conferencing mediums. This is an individual contributor position and is established in support of research activities or projects.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree and 3 years training and development experience, or bachelor's degree and 5 years training and development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years experience in Adult Protective Services, adults with disabilities and special needs, or vulnerable adults. Advanced degree in social work, education, psychology, counseling, English, or related field.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Considerable knowledge of curriculum design and training delivery methods. Excellent grammar and writing skills. Adult learning theory and application. Knowledge of relevant computer software. Ability to stimulate and facilitate individuals and groups in the learning process, to plan and manage projects and self-directed work groups, acts as team lead to others on staff when appropriate, can establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Specialized knowledge in content areas of adult protection and advocacy, victim services, elder services, vocational rehabilitation, public health or disabilities and special needs.
