Visiting Assistant Professor of German
Hamilton College's Department of German and Russian invites applications for a two-year visiting position in German Studies at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2018. Ph.D. in-hand recommended, but not required. The Department seeks candidates of superior fluency in German whose research interests focus on one or more of the following areas: Literature, Cultural Studies, Translation, and Film and Media Studies. The teaching load is five courses per year, and the candidate must possess demonstrated excellence in teaching in both German and English, including all levels of language. The Department is particularly interested in candidates with a proven record of growing, and sustaining, a small language and literature program. The cover letter should indicate ways in which this would be achieved. Interdisciplinary subjects and participation in related departments are strongly encouraged.
