The Clemson University Glenn Department of Civil Engineering invites applications to fill a full-time, renewable non tenure-track lecturer position starting August 2018 or January 2019. Exceptional candidates may also be considered at the rank of Professor of Practice. We seek candidates with a strong background in civil engineering that are able to teach undergraduate courses in civil engineering.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate engineering mechanics classes as well as provide teaching support for one or more of the department's six program areas in more advanced undergraduate classes. The successful candidate will also serve other capacities in support of the department's undergraduate mission. Professional registration in South Carolina or the ability to become a registered professional engineer in South Carolina within a reasonable time is required. The Glenn Department of Civil Engineering offers BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees and has 340 undergraduate students, not including freshman, 110 full-time graduate students, and 22 full-time faculty. QUALIFICATIONS

We seek candidates with a strong background in civil engineering that are able to teach undergraduate courses in civil engineering. Candidates should hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in civil engineering; however, candidates holding a PhD degree in civil engineering will be given preference.
