Assistant Professor. The Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) at Princeton University invites applications for two tenure-track faculty appointments at the Assistant Professor level starting September 1, 2018. While the search is open to all general areas of interest in the department including Financial Mathematics, Data Science, Optimization, Probability and Statistics as they relate to Financial Engineering and Operations Research one of these positions will be in the area of Statistical Data Science. A PhD in a related field is required. To be successful, the candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in research and in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ORFE department is housed within the School of Engineering and Applied Science and is strongly involved in the activities of the Bendheim Center for Finance, the Program in Applied and Computational Mathematics, the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment and the Center for Statistics and Machine Learning. Applications will be considered on a continuing basis but candidates are encouraged to apply by December 1, 2017. Applicants should include a CV, research statement, teaching statement, and contact information for at least three references, one of whom should be able to address the candidate's teaching abilities.
