Job description

Duties: Plan/perform research and administrative tasks in an evolving, medium-sized research group that concentrates in tobacco addiction research, including Phase II medication trials, behavioral treatment studies, and broader HIV prevention research. Background in neuroscience, psychology, and/or pharmacology or experience with clinical trials preferred but not required. Specific activities include: (1) Will be responsible for initiating/maintaining study procedures and staff training including IRB submissions; (2) Develop/oversee study scheduling and appointment coverage; (3) Delegate weekly assignments (phone screening assignments), maintain contact database and monitor research staff's adherence to protocols; (4) Manage and coordinate recruitment efforts across several protocols; (5) Manage study product accountability, including medication; maintain inventory records of study related materials and equipment for multiple protocols.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Successful candidate must have: (1) practical experience coordinating the day to day activities of multiple research protocols; (2) experience in a medically-related position and effective problem solving abilities; (3) effective verbal and written communications skills; (4) ability to multi-task ; (5) demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently; (6) knowledge or experience in neuroscience, pharmacology, and/or psychology preferred but not required.
