Job description

Duties: This position will be responsible for conducting complex image analyses of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) images from both clinical studies of humans and preclinical studies of animals including monkeys and rodents. Specific responsibilities include segmentation of human brain regions in PET images using anatomic magnetic resonance images and brain atlases, and MATLAB programs plus collection of radioactive blood samples in the clinic and transportation of samples to the metabolite analysis laboratory, generation of parametric PET images, analyses of blood metabolite and urine count data using spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), and preparation of the results for subsequent grant reports and manuscripts.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in the field of Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics or Biology and 0 to 1year of experience or an equivalent combination of education or experience required. Ability to program MATLAB, some training in human anatomy, experience with Microsoft Office including Excel . Preferred candidates will have experience with image analysis software and willing to work flexible hours.
