Duties: The Brain Behavior Lab (BBL) at Penn Medicine and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Penn Medicine are devoted to the study of brain and behavior using innovative neuroimaging research techniques and the application of bioinformatics resources. LiBI brings together researchers in medicine, psychiatry, engineering, computer science, physics and biostatistics to understand brain structure and function, based on functional and structural neuroimaging data.

Position Description:
We are seeking a full-time Data Analyst to join our team immediately. This position offers a highly interdisciplinary research experience, combining approaches from cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, psychiatry, and statistics with neuroimaging. The applicant will have the opportunity to participate in major methodological and analytic developments, publications and presentations by integrating clinical, cognitive and multimodal imaging datasets.

Responsibilities will include supporting principal investigators, post-docs, and technical staff with in-depth analyses related to various datasets. This includes performing data management functions like extracting, importing, and exporting data in various applications, restructuring and/or merging datasets, running queries on datasets, preparing datasets for analyses and resolving data inconsistencies and be responsible for completeness and quality control of data. She/He will assist in writing user documentation for investigators and other research staff. She/He will also assist with basic statistical analyses using R, SAS, MATLAB, Python or other similar tools. Additional responsibilities will be assigned based on the successful candidate's skills and interests.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with major in Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science or related field, and 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Experience in biomedical or psychological research or data management preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Linux/Unix/Bash scripting
- Experience using neuroimaging software packages such as FSL, SPM, FREESURFER, or AFNI is desirable
